Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Chad Studio. They are written to be readable rather than impressive, and they sit alongside your rights under South African law — including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

1. The provider

Chad Studio is provided by Elite Way Holdings, registration [CIPC REGISTRATION NUMBER], [REGISTERED ADDRESS, SOUTH AFRICA]. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

2. What Chad Studio is

Chad Studio is a software workspace for creators and small operators: it helps you build rate cards, media kits, reviewed pitches, weekly plans, shooting cards, visuals, deals, briefings and invoices. It is a tool, not an agent that contracts on your behalf. You remain responsible for every message you send, every price you quote and every tax return you file.

3. Accounts

  • You must be 18 or older and give accurate details.
  • Keep your password safe; activity under your login is yours.
  • One person, one account; no sharing logins or reselling access.
  • You can delete your account at any time and request export of your data.

4. Plans, credits and price changes

  • Plans: Free, Standard R149 and Pro R229 per calendar month. Standard includes the ordinary creator workflow and 1,000 monthly credits; Pro includes the same workflow and 1,000 monthly credits, plus a private, rule-based Contract Advisor and SARS record vault. Contract guidance is not legal advice. The vault organises records, not tax returns, deductible-expense decisions or compliance certification. Existing records remain readable and exportable after downgrade. Prices are in South African rand, with no additional platform fee at checkout.
  • Free: a daily grant of free credits that does not stack or carry over, plus the tools that are included free (media kit and rate card on the Standard template, and the voice coach).
  • Credits: consumed by tools that cost money to run. Credit balances are a usage right attached to your account; they are not cash and cannot be transferred.
  • Price changes: we give at least 30 days’ notice by email before a subscription price increases. You may cancel before it takes effect.

5. Monthly periods and protected existing access

Each successful payment buys one calendar month. Renewal is manual: we do not automatically charge your card. A payment before your current paid time ends buys the next month, with its allowance available only when that period starts. The plan chosen for that renewal applies when its period begins.

Unused new-plan monthly credits expire at the end of their period and do not roll over. Daily free credits do not stack. Existing purchased balances, bonuses and complimentary grants are tracked separately and are not reset by these monthly plans. Existing paid time, historical purchases and records are preserved.

Chad takes 0% of your sales and holds no creator deal money. No storefront, Builder add-on, credit top-up, founding offer, contract scanner, SARS vault or owner power tools are sold in these plans. Historical records do not create a new-sale offer.

6. Third-party services you connect

Chad Studio may connect to services such as Supabase, Vercel, GitHub, Google, Brevo or Yoco. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and pricing. If you bring your own API key, you are responsible for the usage it generates and any charges your provider bills you.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service to spam, harass, defraud or mislead anyone;
  • send marketing email that breaks POPIA, or email people who opted out;
  • attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or bypass the security of the service;
  • upload malware, or content you do not have the rights to;
  • scrape or export other users’ data, or resell the service as your own product.

The free tools exist so you can work without spending money. Automated abuse of them (including circumventing rate limits or the daily chat allowance) is a breach of these terms and may end your account.

8. Your content and our intellectual property

You own what you create and upload. You give us a limited licence to store, process and display it only as needed to run the service for you — including showing your approved kit publicly when you choose to share it. We own the Chad Studio software, brand and templates; nothing here transfers that to you.

9. Beta features and honest limits

Some features are labelled beta or experimental, including AI drafting and automated checks. AI output can be wrong. Contract and safety scans are pattern checks, not legal advice, and must not be relied on as a substitute for a lawyer, accountant or a police report. Always verify before you sign, send or file.

10. Availability, changes and termination

We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service; planned maintenance and upstream provider outages happen. We may change or retire features, and we will give reasonable notice of anything material. You may cancel at any time; see the Refunds & Cancellation page. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, that we are legally required to suspend, or that puts other users at risk.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chad Studio is provided “as is” and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost deals, or loss caused by decisions you made using the tool. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or any right you have that cannot lawfully be excluded — including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by South African law. If we cannot resolve a dispute by talking, either party may refer it to arbitration, mediation, or a court with jurisdiction. Consumer complaints may also be taken to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud or the National Consumer Commission.
